This document defines the values and attitudes I strive to embody throughout my life. It serves as a foundation for my decisions and actions—a touchstone I will return to, revise, and refine as I continue to evolve.

Purpose of Life: Fulfilling My Role in the Great Project of Evolution
My purpose in life is to fulfill the role that has been entrusted to me: to help create a world in which every conscious being has the opportunity to grow and attain happiness.
This is not merely an ethical ideal. It is rooted in my recognition that biological evolution is the most meaningful and significant project currently unfolding in this world. Evolution is not just a scientific theory—it is a grand, continuous process that has given rise to complexity, flexibility, intelligence, and empathy over billions of years. I understand myself as part of this stream. Through my own development, I seek to serve as a humble link in the ongoing chain of life’s advancement.
A Scientific Worldview and Ethical Epistemology
To live this purpose, I must begin with a deep awareness of the limits of my own knowledge. I stand by the principle of “knowing that I do not know,” as expressed by Socrates. This attitude resonates with the principles of logical positivism, which asserts that only propositions verifiable by empirical observation carry meaningful value.
My rejection of unverifiable speculation is not due to cynicism or intellectual coldness, but because I value truth—and intellectual humility—above the comfort of illusion. True honesty requires that I acknowledge what I do not and cannot know. This commitment to skeptical inquiry and empirical evidence is the ethical foundation of how I seek to understand the world.
Science and Technology as the Next Phase of Evolution
My understanding of the human mind is grounded in two powerful scientific frameworks: cognitive neuroscience and evolutionary psychology. The thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that shape us are not mysteries beyond comprehension—they are the products of evolved neural systems, shaped by adaptive pressures over millennia. This lens is my starting point for understanding both myself and others.
In addition, I see the exponential evolution of technology, especially artificial intelligence, not as a threat, but as a profound extension of the evolutionary process. These emerging tools have the potential to dramatically extend our cognitive capabilities and ethical responsibilities. My task is not to resist these changes, but to understand, adapt to, and integrate them wisely—to steer technological growth in ways that align with human flourishing and ethical integrity.
The Practice of Psychotherapy as Embodied Commitment
My work as a psychotherapist is the arena in which I embody these principles in daily practice. I seek to approach psychological suffering not through ideology or sentimentality, but with scientific rigor, compassionate presence, and humility. I do not see myself as a “healer,” but as a fellow human being walking alongside others—learning, listening, and continuing to question.
The Ethics of Being: From Personal Growth to the Future of Life
My life is not mine alone. I am shaped through relationships and embedded within society. I believe that by cultivating my own maturity, intelligence, and relational capacity, I contribute in subtle yet meaningful ways to the larger trajectory of evolution.
In doing so, I hope that my choices—however small—might leave a trace that expands the space for growth, understanding, and well-being for those who come after. This, to me, is the most concrete and honest form of prayer for the future.
